Our Beliefs

Here’s What We Believe at Chapel

our message

We teach the same good news that Jesus taught 2,000 years ago, and we try to make it understandable to the world we live in. Our services are contemporary, the music is upbeat and the messages apply to real-life daily living. We try to focus on what’s important in the Bible and avoid squabbling about minor issues.

The Bible

We believe in the Bible. Period. It’s God’s letter to us; it’s inspired and infallible (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Pt. 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12).

New life in Christ

We believe those who are separated from God are spiritually dead and need the Holy Spirit to renew them. We all need new life in Christ (Romans 9:25; Galatians 5:16-25; Romans 4:1-5, 12:1-2; Leviticus 20: 7-8; Romans 5:3-5; Galatians 5:22–25).

One God

We believe there is only one God, always has been and always will be. He exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:26a; John 1:1-5, 14).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is at work at this very moment helping God’s children to live a Godly life (John 15:26, 16:14; Galatians. 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:18-21; Galatians 5:22-23; I Corinthians 12:8-11; I Corinthians 12:11; Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6; Ephesians 5:18; John 16:13).

Jesus is God

We believe Jesus is God, was born of a virgin, that He never sinned and that He really did perform all those miracles. We believe if we give ownership of our lives to Jesus, His death on the cross pays the penalty we should pay for our sins. He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven where He now sits beside His Father. We believe He is coming back again in power and glory (John 1:1-2, 14; I Timothy 3:16; Acts 7:37-38; Hebrews 1:1-5; Philippians 2:9-10; Acts 1:11; Daniel 7:14; Revelation 21:3-8).

Eternal Life

We believe that both the saved and unsaved are going to be raised from the dead. The saved to live eternally with their heavenly Father and the unsaved to be damned forever away from Him (Acts 1:11, 3:19-21; Daniel 7:14; Revelation 20:4; Revelation 14:6, 21:3-8, 22:1-5, 17).

One Church

We believe all true Christians really belong to only one Church, with Jesus as the head (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-13; Acts 2:42, 26:17).
