Ministries

Get Connected

We believe that what we do within each ministry should flow purposefully out of what we value and love. Whether you have a family of 5 or are single and love to ride your mountain bike, you'll find a place to help you experience God.

Community Life

Here at the Chapel, we prioritize ministry to the life of the community. That means you'll find opportunities for men and women, from birth through the nursing home, and every stage in between.

Opportunities to Serve

God has given you talents and gifts that He wants to use to build Christ's body, the Church. Whether you love working with kids, cooking, spending time in prayer, or ?, God wants to use YOU to reach others!

Life Beyond the Community

The Chapel cares not only about our local community but the global community as well.

A few of the missions that we support include:

Bolivian Youth Ministries: The primary objective of Bolivian Youth Ministries (founded by Jon & Linda Baker of Sweet Home, Oregon) is to reach the people of Bolivia, specifically the children, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They focus primarily on children who are living in situations that will certainly lead to their spiritual and physical death. This includes orphans, the abandoned, the mistreated, street children, prison children, etc. These are children who, without direct intervention by an outside force and without the Grace of God presented in their lives, face certain demise. Their goal is to minister to these children that God has placed in their path. www.byministries.org

Life for Mozambique: Started by an indigenous couple in partnership with Life Covenant Church, the Melanie Center is located outside Beira and is a community-based ministry that cares for orphans -- providing shelter, food, medicine, and education. More than half of the orphans in its care are HIV positive -- a significant condition for most Mozambique children. The Melanie Community Centers also provide food, medicine, and education freely to those in need in the local and surrounding communities and help plant churches throughout the country. This ministry works closely with the local community to develop self-sustaining projects. We are honored to partner with this incredible outreach that is truly making a difference in this significantly impoverished area. Our story in our words  http://lifeformoz.com/

Missionaries Todd & Cathy Lindley with Wycliffe in Papua New Guinea: Todd & Cathy Lindley (from Sweet Home, Oregon) are part of a support community for the work of Bible Translation in PNG. Wycliffe Bible Translators is a faith-based organization staffed by volunteer workers from nineteen countries. These volunteers are supported and sponsored by churches and individuals in their home countries who are also committed to seeing “Papua New Guinea empowered by the Written Word”. Wycliffe provides training in linguistic analysis, translation skills, and literacy development as well as formal and “on the job” training in various skills and disciplines. They also provide logistical support in order to further the work of Bible Translation and language development throughout Papua New Guinea. www.edifactory.com

S.H.E.M. (Sweet Home Emergency Ministries): Compassionately serves the needs of the hungry in Sweet Home, Oregon by providing food, information, and supportive services in an efficient manner through caring compassionate partnerships. www.shemfoodbank.org

Kids Food Pak (Sweet Home/Lebanon): Kids Food Pak is a program set up by volunteers to help make sure kids get healthy food on the weekends. They have recently expanded their operation to include clothing for children who are critically in need. www.kidsfoodpak.com
