AWANA
Awana is a nonprofit ministry that has been helping parents and churches worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed 2 Timothy 2:15. The mission of Awana is to “equip leaders to reach kids with the gospel and engage them in lifelong discipleship.” The Awana ministry here at Community Chapel seeks to provide an atmosphere in which your child can enjoy learning that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love, through Jesus Christ. They will also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives.
Community Chapel offers Awana Clubs for children, age 3 (potty trained) through 6th grade. Awana runs from 6:00pm - 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings. Please have kids wear their uniforms, closed toed tennis shoes for game time, and most importantly, their handbook and Bibles. Clubbers are always welcome to bring a friend! For older kids, youth group for 6-8th grade is typically offered at the same time up at The Barn. Be sure to check the Awana Calendar, and join the Facebook group Community Chapel Awana Club for club news and updates.
