When-Not-If Danger Pt. 1
Feb 1, 2026 • Mark McCartin
James 1:2 "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles comes your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy." James was neither crazy nor a masochist. Rather, he is acknowledging that we will "consider", interpret, and assign some significance to the inevitable troubles, difficulties and disappointments of life. So James reminds us, as Jesus followers, and in light of our Heavenly Father's , power, love and plans concerning us, we can rethink our natural response because "we know that when our faith is tested, our endurance has a chance to grow [Jas 1:3]." "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them [Rom 8:28]."
